I did it! I made my first wreath, and satisfied that annoying wreath obsession I had. Michael's Craft Store was having a sale so I got the basic wreath for $2.99 and all the trimmings for 50% off (all less than $5 each).
This is for my grandma. She wanted a Christmas wreath so I went with a red and gold theme. I figured out that the hardest part of making a wreath is figuring out what you want to do. The basic layout. What you want on there and where. Once I figured that out, it was a very fun process. It was fun shopping for the stuff, even if some lady decided to bring her cart into the already overcrowded aisle. It was also fun and easy to put everything together since the layout's already in my head. I had a road block on the ribbon because I didn't know how to make it. But I quick YouTube search and I learned. Before I knew it, I was done.
Okay, okay. It took me 2 hours, but I think that's good time considering I've never made a wreath before and I didn't have step by step instructions guiding me. We are our own worst critics though, so I can see areas where I can improve. But my grandma is happy and I'm happy. Yeah this would have been a perfect Christmas gift for her, but she's itchin' to decorate ahora (now). She did say that this can count as her Christmas gift, but I already bought her a gift when I decided to give up on the wreath thing. And yes, I'm totally being presumptuous with the title of this post. Will I venture forth and make another wreath? Eh.
In other news, my grandpa is cancer free! Woot! Woot! Thanks to everyone who kept him in prayers and glory to God.
In another news, I lost 20 lbs and I don't know how. Question: when you lose weight, is it possible to go down a shoe size? I'd hate to think my size 8 shoes are now too big for me. That'll be the pit.
Oh and I haven't found a v-neck shirt. What's up with that???
